About me
Representing the San Diego County Office of Education, Melissa brings over 20 years of experience directing programs for a non-profit education organization and working for a large elementary school district managing grant funded programs. She has successfully written grants awarded to enhance programs for students, families and communities. As a Project Specialist for the Systems of Support for Expanded Learning, she helps schools and community partners strengthen high-quality expanded learning programs by providing professional development, guidance, resources, and technical support. In addition, she is responsible for the activities related to the San Diego STEAM Hub, to ensure expanded learning program staff are supported in providing engaging STEAM experiences for students.
